Commuting to work on the BART always makes me wonder about the riders that join me on the train.

What are their stories? What has life been like for them? Are they happy?
There are so many people that ride these trains, so many strangers. Yet we we are all connected by this daily commute to the various destinations that make up the routine of our lives.
It is a fascinating phenomenon that physically we may be squashed up together in these trains but the social distance between each other can be measured in figurative miles.
To say Hello is an act of courage.
