It was like visiting an old friend, enjoying a familiar thrill ride, or basking in pure movie entertainment enjoyment. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was exactly what I expected. The special effects were all there from one thrilling moment to the next.
The implausible plot with it’s “wink, wink” tease to the audience helps you buy into everything that is presented. It’s wonderful wit and humor, which permeates almost every scene, brings the needed outlet to every harrowing situation that Indiana finds himself in, and eventually get himself out of by some wonderful, impossible way.
The chemistry and renewed story line between the characters played by Harrison Ford and Karen Allen play well against the back drop of crazy KGB and Mayan Mythology around them. The added introduction of the new character of Mutt Williams played by Shia LeBeouf also brings a new dimension and promises longevity to the saga.

This movie is a great way to kick off the summer with a bag of pop corn and soda. For some it will be re-visiting an old friend, but for all it will be rediscovering the magic of movies!
