Kyle XY on ABC Family Channel opened it’s 3^rd season with a power punch taking off from the edgy cliff hangar of Kyle ( played by Matt Dallas)  and Amanda ( played by Kirsten Prout) being kidnapped from the High School Prom.  The first episode of Season 3 has set the expectation that Season 3 is promising more action for the genetic boy wonder.

A mysterious organization, Latnok,  has revealed itself and has interests in recruiting Kyle for his special abilities to assist them in some unknown mission.  Jessie ( played by Jaimie Alexander) , a female genetic counterpart, was on the cusp of leaving with her DNA forbearer, Sarah, but is pulled into assist Kyle.  This will change her destiny as well.

New characters are revealed as well as the true identities of current characters come to light. The shock value is played well in the episode. The series has certainly evolved beyond a simple teen drama with a science fiction twist.  The scripts are stronger and the stories are much more compelling for the viewer.

Youth angst is still built in and the heart of the show still is more an exploration of humanity through Kyle’s eyes.  He has matured and his character has become more adult like.  He will be certainly facing harder issues and calling in not only his super human abilities but also his emotional and mental strength. 

It looks like it is going to be a whopper of a season so I hope you will all tune in like me and watch the show!
