We recently went to see the movie “He’s Just Not that Into You” at the Grand Theatre here in the Lake Merritt area of Oakland. I love that old theatre which still has that faux decorative movie house look from the golden years of movies. It is really a fun place to watch movies and still has the most reasonable ticket prices.

Justin Long and Ginnifer Goodwin
The movie plays on the different signals men and women give each other when they are socializing to determine if there is any romantic interest in either side. There are theories that are discussed at length especially from the female point of view on the male signals.
Based on the laughter and audience reaction, the confusion and the comedic mishaps that occur on screen, it shows that the movie hits point on the misconceptions and angst we all feel and have in gender relations.
The actors in this movie are great. As an ensemble they work well together. Ginnifer Goodwin shines as the irrepressible and hopeful, Gigi, who we feel sorry and sometimes extremely embarrassed for but who ultimately, wins in the end. However, there were a couple of times I would have told her to get a life. But then again, I am a guy.

Bradley Cooper and Ben Affleck
I thought Bradley Cooper (Ben) as the two timing husband brought on a good performance that went deeper than his lust for his mistress delivered with another shining performance by Scarlett Johansson ( Anna). The chemistry between the two of them sizzled on screen.
Jennifer Aniston brought on one of the strongest performances I have seen her in as Beth with her anti-marriage but wonderful boyfriend played well Ben Affleck (Neil).
Justin Long (Alex), who represented all males who spurn commitment, only to embrace it because of love. He also brought a comedic and dramatic dynamic balance to his performance that made him believable and likable.
I think the weakest part of the movie was the way it was edited and thought some scenes could have been shortened and some scenes added to smooth out the flow of the movie. However it is still a good movie to watch and wander in amazement how men and women can even communicate in the first place.
Jen connelly is the actress that i have a huge crush. here eyes are really very pretty ..;
