Guam Governor Felix Camacho recently in his State of the Island address echoed many State and Territorial Governors across the nation by calling for bi-partisanship cooperation to address issues in the current economic downturn.

Guam has faced large deficits and troubling infrastructure issues for a few years, including an environmentally hazardous dump situation.  There have also been severe funding and infrastructure issues with its public education system as government coffers stand empty of real good revenues in an economy heavily dependent on tourism.

The Governor, cognizant of his upcoming final two years of his term, also addressed critics who have said that he will be ineffective in successfully meeting the challenges facing Guam .
