Adam Lambert singing "The Tracks Of My Tears" - The Miracles
The men continue to bring on the top performances of this season’s American Idol competition as this week’s Motown theme was showcased. The only woman to match the guys was 16 year old rocker, Allison Iraheta.

Adam Lambert dominated everyone with a very much toned down look and stellar performance of the Miracles “The Tracks of My Tears.” His vocal range and falsetto was amazing. He earned a standing ovation from guest star and songwriter (of that song), Smokey Robinson and also two of the judges. He was told by Simon Cowell that with this performance he became a star. Lambert is definitely the leader of the pack.
Matt Giraud, Kris Allen, Anoop Desai and Danny Gokey are also the other top contenders at this point of the game. Michael Sarver and Scott Macintyre are the other guys who are both talented but fell victim to poor song choices.

Lil Rounds, on the women’s side, could move up with her strong vocals with the right song choice. Megan Joy gave the weakest performance of the evening making her the most vulnerable for elimination. However, who knows which way the public vote will go.
We will find out tomorrow.
