Hallowed Feet

Hallowed Feet

By: JP Leddy

Walking with hallowed feet

Nurturing with love

Correcting with acceptance

Sacrificing without complaint

Working with little sleep

Rejoicing with laughter

Comforting with hugs

Serving with little thanks

A Hero, A Mentor

An Idol, A Saint

Mother

  1. Fantastic write! One could not ask for anything better than when they get someone who cares so much that it leaves an impression from childhood on.

  2. the image gives on instant feel of your message.

  3. “Correcting with acceptance.” What a great line and great truth. Takes me back to the feeling of “Just spank me or something, but don’t be disappointed!” Great poem.

  4. Aw, this reminds me of my feelings about my own mother. It is beautiful and would make a marvelous Mother’s Day card (print or e-card).

  5. That’s a great tribute to mothers everywhere!
    Nicely summed up, JP.
