Stephen Billington and Christopher Colquhoun

I rented the DVD “Oh Happy Day!” from Netflix.  It is a romantic comedy about a one night stand between two gay men that spirals when they find out the next day that one is the client of  the other one who works in an ad agency.

There is a definite gay backdrop to the story, but again the universal appeal of this movie is the whole concept of peeling off all the barriers and compromises we have built around and inside of ourselves to prevent us from being truly happy.   This often makes us also inaccessible to things as wonderful as love in life .

The movie is set in England and centers in on an immigrant son and his meeting up with this American guy. There is a lot of chemistry between the two and the British comedy that ensues adds to the dramatic pitch that makes this movie an enjoyable watch.

The two leads  Stephen Billington and Christopher Colquhoun have great chemistry oncreen. Also, the ensemble cast added a lot to the movie.
