One of the great songs from the musical, Les Miserables, is Bring Him Home.  I think of the many young men and women serving abroad in the armed forces.  These sons and daughters who are in harm’s way on a daily basis are not even an afterthought in many of our daily lives.

Even though they are not of my flesh and bone, they are the children of my country and I want every one of them to return safely and whole.

Bring Him Home perfectly describes the prayer of a parental heart towards these brave ones who serve so courageously for us.

Let us not forget them.
