Facing It

Sometimes like the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz  we feel we need  to hide behind the fear than face the reality.  “Facing It”  often means change and in some cases, not the change we want to see happen.  It means going through a process that involves pain and the shedding of tears. It also means getting out of our comfort zone. It means letting go.

While courage is often what is called for, it is ultimately love. For true love desires only what is best for everybody.  It is selfless.

Facing it is not easy because it requires clarity,  but filtered through the lens of love there is strength-where no cowardice exists.

No magic or Wizard in an Emerald City can give this to us. We must reach for it deep within ourselves.

What is courage? What defines a courageous act? It is said that the brave and cowardly person are both fearful. However, it is the brave one who faces his fear and does what needs to be done. We will be faced with many things that scare us throughout our lives. How can we become the kind of people that face our fear and do it anyway? Human growth takes place when we take small steps. Each time we face our fears we become more of the courageous person that we would like to be.  Author Unknown

So whatever we must face in our lives we can never avoid it or run away from it, we must face it armed with courage and love.
