Sometimes a message comes through not from visions in dreams or angelic visitations,  but from a stage from a drag performer in place called Marlena’s in San Francisco.  This drag performer happens to be one of my dearest friends, Ana Mae Cox.  She dedicated a performance of this song “Happy” by Leona Lewis to me.

Recent changes in my life have been difficult but the theme has been my quest to be happy.  We cannot live our lives when deep down inside we are unhappy. Sometimes we are in deep denial and sometimes love clouds it.

So when Ana Mae performed this number,  it resonated in me and spoke to me.  It was like pure revelation, the kind that clearly opens your mind and inspires one to a new life and a new sense of self.
