Star of Promise

Star of Promise

by: J.P. Leddy

Star of  promise and of the season

My heart has opened to the love

That shines forth from your light

Warmed to the hearth of kindness

Brought forth by November and December

Adorned by silver and gold hangings

Lighted trees and sainted choirs

I see in the eyes of another, LOVE

Love for me,  that lifts me

To the place where joy dwells and sings

Filled, I am able to love, too

Every day with every heart beat
