I found the perfect album to add to your rotation of great summer music. The album is called “Wait”  from the talented singer/songwriter,Tom Goss.  I believe that this is Tom’s 4th album which illustrates the staying power of this award wining independent music artist.

Through his music you can see his growth but also the themes in his life that were resonating during the time periods when each album was released.  His acoustical skill  is one of the best bringing out his emotional core with every song he performs.

“Wait” features more collaboration with talents in the field, including Matt Alber.   The lyrics of his songs are rich and his tunes are great to listen to in a convertible going down Highway 1, commuting to work or while sunning at the beach. It provides the perfect soundtrack to sunny day at the park or when you are lost in memories of life.

His music videos have been featured on MTV’s LOGO Channel and also on ABC.  He has toured both nationally and internationally doing gigs and gaining a real loyal fan base.  I am one of those fans.

He has a new music video out featuring one of his great songs from his newest album called: Illuminate the Dark.  “Among those featured in the video are veteran turned model and actor Alex Minsky, whose motivational story of losing his leg at war moved countless people and Lori Duron and her son C.J., the author and subject of the award-winning book and blog, Raising My Rainbow: Adventures in Raising a Fabulous, Gender Creative Son.”( Huffington Post, May 14, 2014)

Tom is unabashed about his coming out story ( from the seminary where he was studying to be a priest) and has also been active heavily in the marriage equality movement . He is married to his beloved Michael.  The love represented in that relationship has found its way to several of his songs.

I have met Tom, attended his concerts, and consider him a friend.  I have followed his career and know that he offers a unique voice that should be more prominent in the music industry.  No one has worked harder, believed harder and loved his craft more than Tom Goss. On top of all of that , his music is really good and competes with the best that is out there.

I love his new album, Wait!  He has a voice that you love to listen too and it is a pure sound not camouflage with a lot of special music effects that are prominent in less talented singers that are popular today.
