Angelina Jolie as Maleficent

Disney is really on a roll with some of its newest movies.  It is reinventing the fairy tale genre and giving life to it with deeper, more relevant themes.

The re-imagining of one of the most infamous villains in Disney history is genius.   The movie captured my imagination that reached back to my child view but gave me a more rich experience in the character known as Maleficent.

Angelina Jolie has found a new way to live in iconic history with her portrayal of the main character.  She captured all sides of Maleficent and also found her soul.

The movie is grand and epic in true Disney style. It is beautiful to watch as there is perfect symmetry between the live actors and special effects.  Both contribute to the high caliber of the movie’s storytelling.

The relevancy of the story is undisputed as it takes us in this journey of what I believe is a welcome trend of the new Disney on the big screen.

This is definitely a classic to cherish for generations to come.
