I love Seth MacFarlane. I love Family Guy. I loved Ted. I was so-so about A Million Ways To Die In The West. This new comedic parody had all the makings of becoming one of those fun classics like Blazing Saddles ( now that was an excellent, funny western spoof).
MacFarlane’s western had lots of funny moments, but when weaved together, the funny turned into a yawn. There were tired old predictable scenes. It would have been better if this were a 30 minute western laugh montage ( using the movie’s best moments) on TV.
MacFarlane is a good actor that rises above the script and I can believe have some great performances for him the future with screenplays and perhaps, another Director.
Kudos to a great cast , who each had their stand out moments, especially Charlize Theron, Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Silverman and Giovani Ribisi.
The movie is all about dying in the Old West, well , it sure died on the big screen.
