The Light Through The Window

The Light Through The Window

A Poem by:  JP Leddy

The light through the window

lands on my hands as

words pour into the bright screen

where my feelings  seem to move

from my heart out of my fingernails

simply to prove that I am alive

not only from oxygen but from

the drama of life with its ups and downs

and the yearnings of my soul to be held

not only by adoring arms but by one

who sees me for who I am and needs me to

complete his life’s journey .

I look out the window and the light continues

to come in not only to lay rest upon my hands

but now I feel it inside me filling

me with illumination.

  1. I look out the window and the light continues

    that’s beautiful,
    love your words.
