Raised on holy water and sacrament

Skin brown in a white world

Misfit and bullied deep into the soul

Innocence lost with no heroic save

Holding on to God and losing self

Almost finding refuge in the reaper

Truth sent a life line and rescue

Self-acceptance brought rebirth

Found again, stronger, braver

Joy joined hands with happiness

Now I bathe in LOVE
